As we enter February, that month of love, of Valentine’s Day, let us remember to always make love the cornerstone of every single thing, deed, word, action, and thought that we come up with. The very basis of our faith itself is love, because God is not merely love personified, but Love itself. He showed us His love for us through creation, through the way He has courted His people and urged them to come back to Him throughout the years, and how He sent His only Son, the Word made flesh, to die for our sins.

Make the choice today to follow Jesus’s golden commandment of loving one another as you love yourself – whether it be romantic, filial, platonic, brotherly, parental, or any kind of love. Make love the basis of your life.
